Trim Levels
The entry-level Durango GT has 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, LED taillights, heated front seats with eight-way power adjustability, and an Alpine® sound system. The GT Plus adds leather seating, a sunroof, and more robust safety features. Also in the GT Plus is a set of heated and ventilated front seats complemented by heated second-row seats and a power liftgate, along with the option of adding a Harman Kardon® sound system.
Further up the trim-level lineup is the R/T series of models, which are characterized by their 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine, aggressive exterior enhancements (like a performance hood), and desirable standard amenities. For the 2025 model year, the new R/T 20th Anniversary Plus and R/T 20th Anniversary Premium trims join the Durango family, celebrating the 20th year that a HEMI V-8 has been offered in the model with special wheels, "345" badges, and exclusive interior features.
Get the most extreme new Dodge Durango for sale with the Hellcat trims, which have the ability to go from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Plus, there are three Hellcat special editions for 2025, the Hammerhead, Silver Bullet, and Brass Monkey, all with distinct style and high-performance elements inside and out.
Engine (Power)
Power for the entry-level GT and GT Plus comes from a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that will get you 295 horsepower. It uses an eight-speed automatic transmission; all trims come standard with all-wheel drive, except for the GT, which has rear-wheel drive as standard. If you go for the R/T trim or higher, you'll get a V-8 instead, of which there are two:
- 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine that delivers 360 horsepower
- Supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI ("Hellcat") V-8 engine offering 710 horsepower
Performance
The base V-6 engine has plenty of power for the Durango, but if you want the extra fun and excitement, the 5.7-liter V-8 boosts acceleration and passing power. When equipped with the V-6, the Durango can tow up to 6,200 pounds when properly equipped, and with the 5.7-liter V-8, it can tow up to 7,400 pounds when properly equipped. Get even more with the Hellcat engine, which is capable of towing 8,700 pounds when properly equipped.
Interior
Inside the Durango, there is room for up to seven across three rows. However, some models seat only six due to their second-row captain's chairs. You can get 17.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row or 85.1 cubic feet if you fully fold the second and third-row seats. If you need to accommodate your pet, a piece of furniture, or a large haul of groceries, you can choose from over 50 seating configurations to get the job done.
Depending on the model, amenities can include heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, along with 12-way power front seats. Some trims have leather upholstery and add heated second-row seats and power-adjustable front seats, with memory functions for the driver.
Technology in the Durango starts with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker Alpine® stereo, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, and USB ports. A wireless charger and 19-speaker audio system are also available for more convenience and to create an elevated atmosphere.
Safety Features
Every drive is instilled with confidence and peace of mind due to this SUV's safety and driver-assistance tech. Blind Spot Monitoring, Advanced Brake Assist, a Rear Back-Up Camera, and Electronic Stability Control are just a few of the many standard amenities you can take advantage of. LaneSense with Lane Keep Assist and Trailer Tow Detection are also available to provide alerts when a lane drift is occurring or a vehicle is nearing the trailer. I've been dealing with DarCars Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep since 2006. My wife and I, have bought 5 vehicles, a 2006 Dodge Durango Limited, 2007 PT Cruiser, 2011 200 hardtop convertible, 2009 Dodge Journey and 2014 Chrysler Town and Country. Our son, purchased a 1999 Chrysler 300M from, Sports Chevrolet and, has been getting his service also from DarCars for the past 8 years. We are very happy with the sales and, service Department. The only problem is, Toyota service which is, right next door to Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep seems to be taking up all the parking spaces which, can be a pain in the ASS. I, and other people have voiced our opinion on this matter, and they have said that they are supposed to be working on the problem. Over all, I am very satisfied with both and, as this is being written, I am going to be going there today to help my son, look at Dodge Rams."
